    RWA 5223 2.3 Billet optical pickup distributor with brass distributor gear. This new (not re-manufactured) billet distributor is designed to work on street or race engines. Must use RWA 5225 ignition box and RWA 5227 coil for optimum performance. Manufactured in the USA, this unit out performs all the distributors made over seas. This distributor is 8 3/4" tall, over a inch shorter than the stock or MSD distributor. This shorted height helps with the clearance between the cap and manifold.
  • RWA 5221 2.3 bronze distributor gear is a direct replacement for the stock gear.  The distributor gear/auxiliary shaft is one of the most important components of the 2.3 engine. Not only does this keep your engine in time, the distributor drives the oil pump via the oil pump shaft.  If you experience a failure in this area, the results could be catastrophic.  Keeping these components in top form is critical for lots of  hours of enjoyment out of your engine. Using the bronze gear instead of a stock style steel gear offers two critical advantages, the bronze is softer than the steel and will help mate to a used auxiliary shaft along with being a sacrificial component.

  • RWA1545 is a high quality billet timing pointer for the 2.3/2.5 engines. This is designed to replace the plastic factory piece that usually is broken in several places if not missing all together.

    This distributor features an aluminum housing that is CNC-machined for closer tolerances than any conventional cast distributor. Plus you get an adjustable mechanical advance which can be easily tailored to any engine by changing the stop bushing and advance springs. Triggering the MSD Ignition system is the same high-output magnetic pickup that is used in our racing distributors. This pickup produces an extremely accurate trigger signal and is maintenance-free

    RWA 5225 uses computer surface mount technology, in a fully digital design for greater reliability. A 6-pin weatherpak type harness plug is used for ease of installation, with a standard mag trigger input that can come from any type of magnetic trigger distributor. Not only is this plug a sure seal, but the ignition comes completely sealed in urethane and on shock mounts, to protect against vibration, shock, oil and moisture intrusion. Adjustable rev limiter built in that goes from 900-9,900 RPM in 100 RPM increments, all of which are accurate within 30 RPM of locked-in value. The rev limiter is a sequential type, which means it is soft on the motor, no loud popping at high RPM, potentially damaging the motor. This ignition comes with a built-in 20 degree start retard feature. Just wire to the start button and you get retard to save the starter motor until the engine fires, then back to full advance. The HI-6RC runs with no loss of output all the way down to 8-volts. The HI-6RC has a red light on the end cap to show you have a good power supply, and during cranking, it flashes to show a good trigger signal. Use this with our billet distributor RWA 5223 and Hi out put coil RWA 5224. This set up is as bullet proof as you can get. We have been running this setup on our road race car with great success.
