RWA 1660 2.3 Aluminum water pump assembly is a lightweight cast aluminum housing with a cast iron impeller. The heater core bung is cast into the pump housing, so there is no chance of it coming loose and falling out, like what can happen on a stock style water pump. If this part is not needed, you can run a tap and install a pipe plug or block it off with a piece of hose cut down and capped off. This water pump is 5" "tall" from the block face to where the pulley bolts on. The snout on the pump measures .630" / 5/8". The pump comes with a gasket.
