Our 2.3 copper head gaskets are manufactured by SCE. We stock different thickness gaskets, ranging from .021" to .093". Copper head gaskets are used in the most extreme conditions and is arguably the most effective way to seal the head to the block. The SCE gasket is manufactured using premium 99% pure copper sheets that are precisely rolled to their specifications and tested for uniform flatness to assure precise cylinder head to block alignment. Each gasket is annealed after processing which ensures optimum mating and provides measurable gains in cylinder sealing. O-ringing of the block is recommended. -
RWA1577 Head gasket is manufactured by Cometic using their MLS design. MLS (Multi Layer Steel) MLS gaskets are comprised of multiple embossed layers of both viton coated and uncoated stainless steel. The embossed outer layers of the gaskets meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealing environments, load conditions and surface finishes. This design requires less clamp load creating less bore distortion and conforms load distribution across the sealing area. The center or shim layer is an uncoated stainless steel layer which can be varied to accommodate multiple thickness requirements. No sealants or re-torque required. Designed for up to 3.830" bore diameter. We stock these in .040" and .051" thickness. We can also supply the following thicknesses (special order) .027", .030", .036", .045", .056", .060", .066", .070", .075", .080", .092", .098", .120", .140". -
